Meg Ryan opens her Marthas Vineyard home in Elle Decor

Meg Ryan is a broom closet interior designer. And she opens her renovated home to Elle Decor readers, display off the Marthas Vineyard fixer-upper that shes been operative on for years. She worked with Marsha Russell of Satinwood, who says that the singer was the "visionary" on the project.Here are a little of Megs personal home taste tips: Design philosophy: "The total thought is to keep things as elementary as possible; I similar to all pared down to the purest form."Live prior to renovating: "I lived here for a year prior to I did anythingto the house, that I think is a intelligent thing to do prior to you renovate.You wish to see how people move around the house, where the trade is,and where people similar to to be." Practicality rules: "There"snothing simply damaged in my house. There are no side tables in any ofthe bedrooms, only shelves that hang out from the wall.
